We are delighted to invite you to the Doctoral School S3M (Sciences of Matter, Molecules, and Materials) Day, to be held in Rennes on Thusday, May 16, 2024!
For this 2024 edition, the JED will be themed "Energy Storage Materials for Sustainable Development: New Horizons in Physics and Chemistry." In an era where environmental challenges are more pressing than ever, research on energy storage materials opens new avenues for a sustainable future.
You are invited to present your research work carried out as part of your thesis and to discover the exciting projects of other doctoral students. You will have the opportunity to present your work in the form of a poster (A0 format) or 15-minute oral presentations (12 minutes + 3 minutes for questions, related to the theme). Presentation materials should be prepared in English, and it is recommended to deliver presentations in English as well.
If your topic does not match the subject of the conference - dont worry, you can still make a presentation !
Free listeners are also welcome to attend this event but they need to register too.
Awards will be presented to the best presentations by a jury composed of teaching researchers and researchers from the laboratories of the Doctoral School S3M.
We would like to remind you that attending two Doctoral School S3M Days with at least one contribution (poster or presentation) is required to validate your doctorate. Third-year participants who have not yet made their mandatory contribution will be given priority.
Lunch and coffee breaks will be provided by the S3M doctoral school.
For doctoral students coming from outside Rennes, transportation by SNCF as well as accommodation for one night will be provided.
Abstracts for oral presentations and posters must be registered before April 15, 2024.
Registration is mandatory for each participant, whether they wish to actively participate or not, and must be completed on our website before April 15, 2024.
